Delete your Sapling account

Sapling: Grow Real Trees is made by Light Scout Ltd. You can delete your Sapling account at any time.

In the app

  1. Open Sapling and tap More, then Settings.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

You'll only see this if you've signed in with Google or Apple. If you've never signed in, there's no account to delete.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, and ask for your Sapling account to be deleted. We'll do it within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What we delete

  • Your sign-in and the name, email address and profile picture it holds, so the account can't be used again.
  • The count of rewarded ads you've watched.

What we keep

  • A record of each tree your pledges funded and each purchase you made, with nothing that identifies you. We keep these for 6 years for our accounts, then delete them.
  • Trees already funded stay funded, and their certificates stay online at Tree-Nation.
  • A pledge still waiting for its tree is cancelled.
  • The App Store and Google Play keep their own records of your purchases.
  • Crash reports are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Your grove

Your grove is saved on your phone, not on our servers. Deleting the app removes it.
